Physics Number 2

So... you guys scared off your previous sub! Will you please, please be nice to your new one. She sounds very nice and knows some physics! I miss you and physics.

Thanks 4th period for writing me a note. Kazakhstan is really wonderful. It is alot like Utah (where I grew up) in geography. Of course the people speak Russian and Kazakh.

Please go back and look at day 6 with the substitute so that you can complete the activity. You need to read my post and then ask me some "radiation" questions. Your subsitute will also be able to answer your questions. :)

Love,
Mrs. Woods

Hi Mrs. Woods,

Period 6 --"does the radiation from the Earth affect people?"

Period 5 -- "Will studying physics get you rich?"

Period 6 -- What kind of radiation from the Earth are you speaking about? Many types of radiation that are on the Earth are not harmful to us. We use them everyday to communicate via radio, TV, and cell phones. Light is radiation. They call it radiation because it emanates outward or radiates. The word "radiation" that you have heard of that is bad or cancer causing can be high energy forms of light.

Period 5 - studying physics can definately make you rich. Most likely, however, you will make enough money to support your family, drive nice cars, buy a nice home. Some engineers and applied physicists invent great new things that end up making them lots of money. Many invent smaller items that make them good money. Plus...studying physics is fun! It is - don't groan!! :)

Period 2 asked--will there be a big test when you come back?
What is Thermodynamic? What happenes if you don't understand what is going on in class and the big test comes up?

There will be a test on thermodynamics at the end of the unit. You can check your unit calendar to see how many days away the test is. It will be a simple check that you were reading AND paying attention to what you read.

Thermodynamics is how heat moves. Thermo=heat and dynamics=move. You should know three ways that heat is transfer from one object to another. Tell Ms. Yoshizumi what those three ways are.

If you don't understand what is going on in class TRY HARDER!! ASK QUESTIONS!! That is all I can say. :)

Period 3 Physics Class

Why do we have a test because we haven't learned anything.....not anything it is not fair for us to have a test. Because we have not learned one thing!! Except when you were here. Please tell the sub for us not to take the test because all we have been doing is writing the text from the text book onto our papers, so we do NOT KNOW ONE THING AT ALL!!! It is not fare of you to do this to us. Because if we get the test everyone will get HORRIBLE grades!! we are frusterated!!! It is really frusterating We still have not learned anything at all while you are gone!! sooo why do you give us tests, even if they are open book what is the pint if we do not know the materials!!! our class and ecer other class are madddddd!!! it is not funny.
